The Rescue is a main job in Cyberpunk 2077. V and their ally Jackie, along with a netrunner named T-Bug are hired to find and retrieve a missing person, Sandra Dorsett, whose locator implant went dark.
V and Jackie learn the girl they are looking for is probably in a den of scavengers in room 1237 of a certain apartment block. T-Bug helps them with unlocking the main door and disabling the security system.
Once inside, V and Jackie make their way into a bathroom on the other side of the apartment, finding their target, a woman by the name of Sandra Dorsett. While alive, she appears medically unstable and V has the ability to save her using an AirHypo.
After removing a GPS jammer that prevented Sandra's Trauma Team Platinum alert to activate, Sandra is rescued by Trauma Team. V and Jackie then leave the scene before the police arrive.
Dexter DeShawn made his name as a prominent fixer in Night City, one of the best known other than Rogue, but not quite on her level. He was known to select mercs for gigs based on his intuition, and did not have a regular crew. He left town for several years on what is rumored to have been a vacation, but this is implied to not be the truth. He returned in 2077 and was contracted by Evelyn Parker to steal the Relic for Yorinobu Arasaka. He hired T-Bug, Jackie Welles, and V, to handle the heist at Konpeki Plaza, but insisted on limiting their cut of the payout to a mere 30% since they were new on the scene. To prepare for the heist, DeShawn paid €$10,000 in advance to buy a stolen Militech Flathead from Maelstrom, and also shelled out for the Delamain "Excelsior Package" to cover Jackie and V's escape.
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure role-playing video game, being developed and published by CD Projekt RED, scheduled to be released December 10, 2020. The game was announced during the 2012 CD Projekt Red Summer Conference as the official video game adaption of Mike Pondsmith's pen and paper RPG Cyberpunk 2020. Originally titled Cyberpunk, the 2077 subtitle was added in late 2012.
The player character V, is contracted along with Jackie Welles, to steal an important piece of technology from the Arasaka Corporation - know as the chip of immortality - by fixer Dexter Deshawn. The duo manage to infiltrate the megacorp and steal the device but the plan goes awry and Jackie appears to die. After meeting with Dexter, V is betrayed and left for dead in a landfill, but manages to survive - possibly in-part due to the chip of immortality - and is haunted by the digital-ghost of iconic Rockerboy, Johnny Silverhand.
The Corpo-Rat
V starts in the Arasaka Tower, where Arthur Jenkins gives the player a job to take out another corporate employee. The player arrives at Lizzie's Bar by AV and is accosted by several basketball players, whom they almost crushed by conducting an illegal landing on the basketball court. V enters the establishment and meets up with their old friend Jackie Welles.
