The Cyberpunk universe is based of the same universe as ours except along the way, a few small changes happened in the Cyberpunk timeline that completely altered the course of humanity in the Cyberpunk world. One of the biggest changes was the Corporate wars that took place in the early 2000's.

The Cyberpunk news tells us that there were 4 separate corporate wars, these wars started over disagreements between megacorps or they started because of resources. No matter how they started, they did end up becoming serious, with many people losing their lives. In this CP2077 video, I will be going through the Cyberpunk lore to explain how each corporate war started, who it involved and how it ended. It is good to understand the Cyberpunk 2077 history because these Cyberpunk corporations and corporate wars will be mentioned in the Cyberpunk 2077 story, we do not know the exact Cyberpunk detail on what would be said in Cyberpunk 2077 but we have recently seen Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay and Cyberpunk 2077 trailers that shows Johnny Silverhand being part of the fourth corporate war so we can see that it will be referenced in the Story. These corporate wars took place all over the Cyberpunk world but there were a few events that took place in Cyberpunk Night City, which is also the setting of CP2077, so maybe when exploring the world, you might be able to see memorials of the corporate wars.
