Song: Perturbator - Electric Dreams

Script:

I see a desolate wasteland before me. How I got here, I do not know. Although somehow I understand, as do the rest, that their city is clinging to life. The air is thick, veiled is the sky, making me question what I actually see. There are neither trees, nor stars, nor any living beings except the inhabitants that dwell in this lifeless shell. I know, however, that its multitude of lights is but a means of deception to cloak this city's emptiness. The solitude is disconcerting. The streets have become a cesspool, filled with the caustic bilge of industry and corruption. Ambition, avarice, envy run rampant through these polluted corridors, men regarding their possessions as nothing, always desirous of another's. Roaming gangs control what is left of this underpinning, obediently taking orders from those above them. Executions of innocent men are commonplace, their possessions, loved ones seized as quickly as the hierarchy demands. As the city rises out of its dregs, opulence continuously flourishes and has created an unchanging state of control and ruthlessness. To those in power, good men rather than bad ones are considered a danger. This vicious cycle of depravity seems to know no bounds. But, as I begin to question my role as an observer, I finally realize it is just that. All I can do is gaze upon this glass eye, a former haven descending further and further into madness, growing dimmer and dimmer each day. I hope to never see my own reflection.
