7Cygnus Enterprises is single player sandbox action RPG game developed by Team Miaozi for the PC platform. The plot sends you to the standard future, where humanity, not without mistakes, learned to create interstellar spaceships and decided to start colonizing other planets. The player will have to try on the role of a contractor for the ambitious company Cygnus Enterprises, use a simple editor to create a character and immediately go to carry out the first assignment to restore structures on the remote planet Mytilus.
Arriving at the planet's orbit, the player's ship is in distress according to the standard scheme, and you, along with your personal assistant in the form of a small flying drone, find yourself on its surface, next to the escape pod. To go through the entire available plot of the early access version in about 10 hours, it's a lot or a little for you to judge.
In terms of the core concept, Cygnus Enterprises' gameplay is built along the lines of projects such as Alien Shooter and The Ascent. That is, the player looks at his character from above (isometric), uses the WASD buttons to move and kills opponents by moving the crosshair with the mouse. Additional mechanics include the presence of active abilities and dash, the latter is mainly used to evade attacks.
As for the battles themselves, it is possible to eliminate various forms of unfriendly alien life only with the help of conventional and futuristic ranged weapons and abilities.
Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, the game world is made as separate locations that are not directly related to each other due to a non-standard general concept. After going through the introduction and unlocking the world map, the player will see 5 regions in front of him, of which only 1 is available at first, and the rest gradually open one after another as the story progresses.
Regions contain story and random tasks, by launching which the character gets to a separate location, made in the style of the region. In other words, you cannot move freely around the world, but only between the main base and quest locations. Also, random text events appear on the map of regions, where you need to choose one of several options, and chests with rewards.
After successfully passing or failing the task, completing the event, receiving a reward from the chest, the game day ends, which leads to an update of the world map and summing up the results of the day. It is important to note that several more game mechanics are tied to the day change system.
If we consider story missions from the point of view of the key content of the game, then random missions can be called additional, although in practice they are much more important, because advanced resources are farmed in them. The main point of all random tasks is to complete one or more tasks and then evacuate at the exit point (in some cases, this happens automatically).
