477Thrand test Iamandi Cristian's Romanian made Dacian Falx on a 16 gauge 1.6 mm Roman helm equivalent and explains how he already had done this but mislabeled it a lighter 18 gauge 1.2 mm helmet. Thrand then test a later century Romanian made Dacian Falx on early Trajan Dacian War era Roman Galea (helmet) equivalent, So technically after proper measurements are taken both helms are 16 gauge and much thicker not 18 gauge to his surprise!
