Daikatana playthrough Part 4
7Today, after the frustration at the end of yesterday, we've obtained the Diakatana and moved on to the next episode. Where we got thrown back in time - maybe - to ancient Greece. Or Rome. It's hard to tell. Yet all the ruins are in ruins, and there's no actual sign that the place has been used in a while. So for all we know we could be in the far future. The Diakatana itself is fairly terrible to use, a shame given that there have already been first person shooters with good sword mechanics by this point. The other new weapons in this that I've found all have their big drawbacks as well. It also seems that the sword can level, but my character hasn't leveled since using it. So I don't know if it's eating my EXP that way. We also, unfortunately, have found Mikiko again.
You can see some of the reason why the game was delayed here. And yet that delay did NOT result in a very polished game. Yes, they have a whole new environment, with new enemies, new weapons, etc.... but Hexen II accomplished this years before. So... yea... -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/the_nametag
