After much trouble just getting the game to work and stream properly, he we are back to 2000 and Ion Storm - didn't we just leave them? Deus Ex, released less than a month after Daikatana. And what a start contrast the two halves of Ion Storm provide us. This game uses the Unreal engine (which is why it's giving me so many problems, sad to say), and allows for a lot more interactivity and realism. Moving bodies, non-lethal take downs, being able to sneak around etc. However, it's a bit clunky, and the added realism actually can drag a few elements down, such as having to stack boxes instead of just being able to climb up. Also, we're back to ladders that are a bit of a pain to use properly. And this game is very, very dark, darker than it should be but the brightness controls didn't work.

Yes, I am running this as original as possible. No modified .exe, no mods for graphics. The goal is to look at the original release compared to games of the time. And this game really didn't have much in the way of contemporary competition, other than System Shock 2.
