Daizo's Journey (Cancelled Build) - W1-4 - Note Blocks R' Us!
82024 revealed the release of "Daizo's Journey ~ Chapter 1: To Rise Above All" and a few people were curious what will happen to the original Daizo's Journey build I started back at around 2011/2012. So I'm releasing videos of what is now going to be known as the "Cancelled Build" which I'll release as a hack at some point in the future. This will document every single finished level I made.
Jinker Bolts laid a trap for Daizoken to fall in, and it's a turn block that sucks you inside of it. As Daizoken is stuck inside, the ceiling is noticeably caving in until it's revealed that the entire building is a boss encounter. At least, that's the idea of the level lmao; it's very random and it's not very well designed but the idea is cute.
Plan for the future -
I already have an idea in my head to execute this idea FAR better, and it's thanks to Super Mario Bros. Wonder. The idea is Jinker Bolts got his hands on a Wonder Seed, and essentially trapped the note block to pop it out. The "wonder" gimmick would be Daizoken and Krackenwolf inside the note block, completing a series of one-screen challenges. I'm not sure if the building will be alive, tho it would be a good way of "clearing" the wonder challenge if that's how the level ends. Or...maybe Krackenwolf is outside and Daizoken's inside, and you have to switch between the two characters to clear the level? That's literally a thought that just popped in my mind while writing this lol.
I may have...even composed a song for the new version fittingly titled "How Did Jinker Get A Wonder Seed?!"
