No, this cannot be used as an exploit to earn infinite money or XP, yes I tried. For there to be any significant amount of money or XP earned by free falling like this, would mean taking too long to finish the race to actually receive it.

All this is good for is getting a high top speed in your global statistics, and possibly for earning the stuntman achievement. Other than that this is just some stupid fun.
