DanceDanceRevolution V Open Alpha Test (5/14/2020)
Here's a stream archive of me playing the then just released open alpha test of Dance Dance Revolution V, a HTML5 DDR game they released during a difficult time. Coincidentally, it was released on my birthday, so it was kind of a birthday present. You know what they say: don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
The songlist was pretty generous, especially since a lot of these newer songs are locked to song packs in Grand Prix. It has the arcade charts, they ported over the 3D dancing characters, and it even has controller support! If the idea was to have a free DDR minigame on a website, this would have been decent if the timing windows weren't so wide. The idea of paying for a subscription to this? No. Ultimately, they scrapped this idea in favor for another subscription PC arcade port like all the other Konaste games.
Would have been interesting if this worked on Mac and Linux, since none of the other Konaste games have non-Windows support. (At least, not officially.) Too late to test that now.
