This question was posed to me in a previous video in the form of a character a viewer had made. While I myself planned on a similar concept for a character to be their own Patron, I thought I would first explain how the concept would work... at least at my own table.

This concept, much like certain rulings, are DM dependent. Some DMs might be like me and first have you explain why your Warlock is their own Patron or your Cleric is their own Deity. Others don't give a solid fart and deny the concept no matter what reasons you give.
