I'm relatively fresh into being a DM, and my party, fresh and shallow-pocketed as they are, is discussing buying a tavern, and hiring smiths. I've had difficulty finding rules for buying land, and hope perhaps you have a decent example of how to price homes and businesses. As for the blacksmith, I found a rule saying you can hire an untrained Smith for 2sp/day, or a skilled Smith for 2gp/day, but doesn't explain whether they take as long to craft items as a player does.
