Daniel Agger post Denmark 0-0 Albania Interview 04/09/15
- It was two very different halves. We were not good enough in the first half. But we got better in the second. There we were much more relaxed, pressed them down and created more chances, said Agger.
Both Nicolai Jørgensen as Nicklas Bendtner tilspillede like new opportunities in the second round, but the terminations lacked precision and consistency.
- We lacked quality when we needed to make it complete. It was not just one, it was several players who had chances, says Daniel Agger.
With the disappointing result, Denmark has no longer EM tickets in their own hands before the two final away match against Armenia on Monday and Portugal in October.
- We have no doubt the qualities to come to the European Championships, but we have to prove it on the pitch. We did not do in the first half, but we came to much after the break, and with a little luck we had stuffed one into concludes captain.
With the result, both Denmark and Albania 11 points in the group, but the Albanians have played one match fewer.
Portugal leads with 12 points.
