Daniel Agger: We make it hard for ourselves post Armenia 0-0 Denmark 07/09/15
Coach Morten Olsen made a scathing criticism of the Danish efforts in the last 40 minutes of Monday's 0-0 tie against Armenia.
It was the worst, Olsen had seen in his time as coach, and the Danish national team captain Daniel Agger agrees.
- I give him right in. It was without doubt our fault. We certainly can not blame him something for the effort we delivered.
- And I must also be on target for. It is me who is captain. It is I who should pull up the people. And it was not good enough - including myself, said Agger.
It was also one of the worst, Agger has helped. Especially in the situation of Denmark were - where the team hunt a direct EM-ticket for next year's tournament in France.
- At least in the situation we are in. We had all the opportunities ahead of us before the last two matches. But those we have not seized, said Agger.
- There are lots of explanations, but we can not use for anything. We have played two 0-0 matches, and it was not what we had hoped for. But we must say that we were deserved, said Agger.
It was the whole team that went collectively down in Yerevan.
- We dropped the team. And it's hard to find explanations right after the game. It is of course not happen, says Agger.
