Spook-O'-Tron is a new indie homebrew arena shooter in the style of Midway's classic Robotron 2084. In this hectic NES SHMUP the player must defeat 100 unique waves of enemies and rescue defenseless civilians while dodging hazardous obstacles. Developed by Sole Goose Productions, with art by @cacciatc (Twitter) and music by @atonofglaciers (Twitter).

Synopsis: Indie Steam games are a dime a dozen (literally. Thanks Humblebundle!), but new homebrew cartridges for 30 year old electronics are much less common. Developer Sole Goose Productions specializes in new games for dead systems, and their latest project has accomplished the once unfathomable; they have brought a bullet-hell twin-stick shooter to the original NES. Spook-O’-Tron is a Halloween themed SHMUP with an adorable aesthetic that cleverly utilizes the d-pads on both player 1 and player 2 controllers.
