Today, Toan adventures into the Divine Beast Cave for the first time, where the Fairy King explains how to not suck at the game.

I of course, feel the need to do that myself. And as such, over the course of the next few videos I'm constantly explaining gameplay mechanics. This obviously lowers the wittyness significantly, but it's a part of the job.

If you didn't understand my explanations hear's a dumbed down version.

Weapon stats:

Element: Shows what element you currently have equipped on your weapon. Fire and Ice are counters, Thunder and Wind are counters, and Holy has no counter, but does extra damage to evil and undead things. You can only have one element equipped at a time but you can change it at any time. The number next to the element is how good that weapon is with that element.

Attack: Effects on much damage you do. Who'd have ever thunk that?

Endurance: Effects how much WHP you lose when you hit an enemy. The higher the better.

Speed: Effects how long it takes you to recover after a sword swing. This stat does have a different effect on later characters. But for now it's all that matters.

Magic: Effects how proficent your weapon's element is.

WHP: Goes down every time you hit an enemy. When it hits 0 the weapon breaks. Use repair Powers before this happens.

ABS: Dark Cloud equivilent to EXP. it goes up when you kill enemies and when its full you can upgrade your weapon.

You have two objectives on normal dungeon floors. Find all of the atla, and find the Gate Key and progress to the next floor. Once you've found the Gate Key there's nothing stopping you from simply leaving then, and sometimes this is recommended. For now weapon upgrades are a big priority so I recommend sticking around and killing enemies early in the game.
