Dark Sector (PC) Chapter 1 playthrough
0My first time playthrough of Dark Sector - Chapter 1 on the PC.
To get this to play at 2560x1440 without issues I had to use dgVoodoo2. (Steam version)
1. Download dgVoodoo 2, the latest stable version: https://dege.fw.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2/
2. Extract the contents anywhere you want
3. Copy and paste following file from the dgVoodoo2 folder to the location of "DS.exe"(where you have the game installed):
"dgVoodooCpl.exe"
Also copy these files which is under the dgVoodoo2 folder, "MS" and then into "x86" and copy all 4 files there "D3D8.dll", "D3D9.dll", "D3D3lmm.dll" and "DDraw.dll" to where "DS.exe" is at.
4. Start "dgVoodooCpl.exe" where you have "DS.exe" to configure the settings required to get it to work in the following steps.
5. Make sure the location is same as game. Press the ".\" button next to Add to make sure the Dark Sector folder is chosen.
6. Go to the DirectX tab and select your resolution where it probably says "unforced" currently to like "2560x1440" or whatever you like.
7. Add 8xMSAA under Antialiasing (MSAA) and 16xAF under Texturing/Filtering where it says App Driven in the settings. Recommended!
8. Press "Apply" and "OK" and you're ready to go!
