Dark Souls 2 NG+ Differences Easiest NG+ Ancient Dragon Strategy
5The Ancient Dragon in NG+ is actually a lot easier than in regular NG. You simply have to prepare a LOT beforehand. If you go in with over 900 fire resistance, the fight becomes a lot less tedious and a lot more fun.
You'll probably have to use flash sweat to achieve over 900 so in between casts you'll be vulnerable but with enough hp you won't die in one hit. (On NG+, it's damage might ramp up in higher cycles though)
You have around 4 minutes of invulnerability from the fire and a whole lot of hp to chew through. Be aggressive, just be wary of it's feet and tail. If one of them land on you, it's a OHK. I prefer to stay near his front toe personally. He rarely attacks with it in my experiences.
