Dark Souls 2 Oculus Rift TriDef 3D Zeiss head tracking
my first mess with Dark Souls 2 on the Rift using the TriDef DX9 Oculus Rift settings , all FOV movement is using the Cinemizer OLED head tracker .. there is a serious FPS drop when switching to the native Rift warp , so much so that the online features of the game are automatically turned off .. I kid you not .. I can play the same game at 2560 by 1600 , or beyond .. with the same hardware . I need to test non warp 1080p 3D to confirm it is the distortion/warping routine code that is the cause .. meanwhile ...enjoy the Rift Gigantorvision monsters...this is the first game I have tested in over 11 months on the Rift that does this . At one point I was getting 12 FPS , set the 3D texture detection to auto and this went up to 25 ... still not ideal ..! oh and devs really need to eliminate HUDS..
