I finally get to reveal the coolest thing to happen to HMD use , I having testing this for the best part of a year ..This a 3D view of Google Earth , downtown or thereabouts NY .. running in 1080p per eye native res on the smd ST1080 HMD I am wearing .. the kick is my Samsung Galaxy S4 phone is generating the 3D using Android TriDef 3D .. this is how we begin to mobilize VR .. there is no specific 3D Google Earth App here, or a VR or AR redux version .. TriDef runs over the original Android App and creates the 3D .. as both the HMD and S4 are portable ....so is VR and AR, that's 1080p per eye 3D AR and VR in a 180g wearable display .. sbs 3D is only one format possible, FPR, TAB and more can be used .. and all work mighty fine on the ST1080 HMD .. so I see/use a 100 inch crystal clear nausea and pixel free 3D Google Earth version of NY... which can be opaque or transparent on the ST1080 .. last time I was atop the Empire State building I could do this in 2D .. next time it will be in 3D .. thanks to TriDef 3D .. the ability to see maps in actual 3D also has serious application .. of course .. full article on mobilizing VR and AR to follow @ thegameveda
