Some invaders/hosts may always try as hard as they can against every opponent they encounter but I'm not that type. Normally I look down on fights next to a bonfire being considered an honor duel, from the invader's perspective they're disadvantaged right from the start with 30% less health but more than anything are constantly wondering if/when the host will try to summon someone. It's not really honorable if you're playing with stacked conditions now is it?
From the third invasion here though it's pretty clear that this host was the rare honorable exception who wasn't camping at a bonfire for fights but rather was looking for that little extra help for the Fire Witch area up ahead. I'm guessing at least one summon sign was available to him/her halfway through the second fight but I saw no attempt to use it during that fight. Considering how many people I've invaded who have no shame and will even run from the end of the level to the start just to look for more summon signs mid fight, this host showed a rare will to persevere alone but accept small amounts of help when it's needed and I commend that.
