I've had a few people ask me if I use a claw grip to do swaps and the answer to that is a definitive no. Or at least, I don't do so intentionally. Personally I just heavily dislike using claw grip for anything except controlling the camera while maintaining the ability to perform other actions (most notably running or rolling) and even then only when it's necessary. For me the advantages to using a claw grip on swaps are just too minimal to bother having an uncomfortable grip on the controller for. There have been a few occasions though where I have caught myself unconsciously using a claw grip for a swap though.

This invasion in particular is the first instance where I became aware that I was doing so while I was doing it, whereas normally I only notice after rewatching a clip and seeing an obvious tell that I had done so. In most cases that tell is my character moving around in the world a lot (generally to close a gap and be ready for the riposte input) at the same time I am performing several d-pad inputs on the equipment menu.

The reason I became aware I had unconsciously used a claw grip for the swap in this invasion was actually because of a mistake not seen in the clip at all though. As I was committed to the swap I was prepared to do all the inputs like normal but I didn't expect the knockback from getting a partial parry. So instead of dropping the swap I had shifted to claw grip in the moment and was able to realize I had done so when my finger slipped off the d-pad entirely as I did the riposte.
