4Personally, I don't remember the first times I was invaded in the different Souls game all that well. In most cases the fights were just temporary distractions and at worse maybe the loss of a few souls, none of them ever felt really unique though (in terms of how the invader behaved). Since I played most of the games near their respective releases most of the invaders I fought were just as new as I was and I didn't really watch any DS YouTube content back then so even if they were unique in some way I would've likely been unable to recognize it as such.
That however hasn't stopped me from always wondering what is going on in the mind of newer players when they have a parry swap performed on them, especially when it's a really obvious one. Do they recognize what has happened and the technical execution of it in the slightest? Later on should they not abandon the game once they get their "I beat Dark Souls" trophy will they still remember the fight and eventually come to the realization that it was no standard parry? Or will their ignorance cause them to just disregard the moment entirely and possibly consider their opponent a cheater in some way? One thing is for certain though, they usually panic.
