2The Chasm Of The Abyss is the final part of the dlc area for Dark Souls 1. There is so much good loot to be had here and most of it is guarded by hordes of Bloatheads or humanity phantoms, neither of which are difficult to deal with, but can easily gank you if you mistime a block or jump.
The boss Manus is surprisingly unpredictable, yet he does telegraph a lot of his moves. For example, if he raises his oversized hand in the air, he's about to try to slam you with it, so time your roll carefully. If he bangs his staff on the ground, a bunch of dark energy projectiles are about to subdue you, so you'll need to use the silver pendant. Beat Manus and you get his soul, which is yours to whatever your want with. "The furtive pygmy so easily forgotten" will be remembered for a challenging boss fight if nothing else.
