darkFlash has announced the FLOATRON F1 microATX case designed with a floating extended base for better airflow and hardware compatibility. The chassis measures 431 x 240 x 421 mm, is made from 0.8 mm SPCC steel and it is available in Black and White versions. It supports microATX and Mini-ITX motherboards, GPUs up to 350 mm in length, CPU coolers up to 185 mm in height, and offers five PCIe slots. Storage support includes up to three SSDs and three HDDs. For cooling the case offers support for up to nine fans and radiators up to 360 mm mounted at the top. Fan mounts are available at the top (3x 120 mm or 2x 140 mm), side (2× 120 mm or 2x 140 mm), rear (1x 120 mm or 1x 140 mm), and bottom (3x 120 mm). The case uses a vertical air duct layout to improve thermal performance and includes open ventilation at the side, top, bottom and rear panels. The FLOATRON F1 also adopts a clamshell-style side panel with a screwless, tool-free design for easier access. The floating extended base increases airflow around the GPU, which the company claims can reduce temperatures by 5-7 °C, and doubles as a display platform for custom lighting or decorations. Front I/O connectivity includes one USB Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, HD audio, and dedicated power and reset buttons. darkFlash did not specify an exact date of availability in stores or an exact retail price.
