MSI has expanded its gaming desktop portfolio with the MPG Infinite Z3 X3D, a high-performance system designed around AMD’s Ryzen X3D processors. At the top end, the platform is powered by the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which incorporates AMD’s 3D V-Cache to deliver larger amounts of L3 cache and improved gaming performance. Buyers can pair these CPUs with NVIDIA’s latest GeForce RTX 5090, 5080, or 5070 Ti graphics cards, allowing a choice between flagship and more cost-conscious builds. Gaming performance was highlighted as one of the defining strengths of this desktop. In internal tests, the configuration with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RTX 5090 produced an average of 360 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K resolution with DLSS and Frame Generation enabled. MSI also includes an exclusive “X3D Gaming Mode” that can be activated in BIOS to provide between 2% and 20% extra performance depending on the title. To ensure reliable operation under heavy loads, the desktop integrates Silent Storm Cooling AI. This cooling solution uses a multi-chambered design to isolate heat-generating components and optimize airflow. The inclusion of a liquid cooler for the CPU and extensive heatsinks for VRM, chipset, memory, and SSDs ensures stable performance without thermal throttling. Intelligent fan curve adjustments are handled automatically by MSI’s algorithms. Ease of expansion is another core feature of the Infinite Z3 X3D. MSI provides three M.2 slots for high-speed NVMe SSDs, two 3.5-inch bays, and one 2.5-inch bay, making it suitable for users with large gaming libraries or multimedia storage needs. Tool-free upgrades are simplified through mechanisms such as EZ M.2 CLIP and EZ PCIe CLIP II, while thumb screws provide quick access to the interior. This approach reduces the need for specialized tools, making upgrades and maintenance more straightforward for gamers. The Infinite Z3 X3D will be available starting September 2025. MSI plans to offer three configurations: Ryzen 7 9800X3D with RTX 5090, Ryzen 7 9800X3D with RTX 5080, and Ryzen 7 7800X3D with RTX 5070 Ti. By combining AMD’s X3D CPUs with NVIDIA’s newest GPUs, the system is positioned to appeal to players who want both high refresh rate 4K gaming and long-term upgrade options. MSI also confirmed that more AMD-based desktops will be introduced in the future, providing a wider range of choices across price points.
