During the "Destroy Silitha" task, you must ride Ruin in the Ashlands, through the Soul Bridge, and make your way to the Iron Canopy. Right before tripping the cutscene trigger, leave Ruin and walk on foot. This shows War standing free outside the cocoon. Then try to call upon Ruin in Iron Canopy. This is a guaranteed method of crashing the game and corrupting all your data of the game.

This goes on my list of ways to crash games. Remember how in TLOU you could throw a molotov at an infected's severed head to crash it? I also discovered a way in SotC. In NG+ (Normal/Hard only), during the final section in the story where you're sucked by that black ghost or whatever, try kneeling on a Colossus statue, like when you start a Time Attack challenge. He does the kneeling animation, then the game crashes.
