Darksiders 2 Gameplay - Killing The Deposed King
4Managed to kill him after my 4th or 5th try on apocalyptic mode.
i was level 15, i think the boss is level 20. the 2 small hits and shield bash he does aren't that painful but the whirlwind attack hits like a truck, and that big smash attack is a instant kill for me, it freezes you and drains your hp in no time.
the first half of the fight he will use 2 normal hits followed by a smash, then probably a shield bash.
after a certain part of his hp is drained he starts using 2 normal hits, then a whirlwind attack, followed by a smash. as you see this is always the same so as long you keep that in mind you should do fine. just be sure to stay as far away as possible when he is about to do his whirlwind attack, it can be nasty to dodge up close.
