Darksiders 2 Part 8: Mostly me being angry and upset at this game.

ALT QUIP: The most set up and well defined boss ever! Because that's why we all love Darksiders, right?
I never want to talk about this again.
And do not tell me video-me dropped the wrong title. He didn't know. He was innocent and pure. More than me, that's for sure.
Either way, I want to make a few things clear.
I dislike D2 (or DS2), because it's just terrible in respect to its predecessor. It tosses a few references, reuses characters, but it downright kills the mood and design Darksiders brought forth. I wouldn't mind the gameplay, had the feel not changed. I loved Vulgrim's little spiels, the artistic cameras in the cutscenes, the lack of ENDLESS EXPOSITION.
And I dislike being angry, hating things or being frustrated. I try to avoid it. On the other hand, I have a degree of integrity. I brought this game, and it would be vile to denounce it without giving it a shot at redemption (OMG that's why the gun is called that).
Hence, I will beat it. Perhaps it does get a real character involved. Maybe the ending isn't cheesy and makes up (it doesn't). But it would be very unfair to hate a game this back and not give it a chance. After all, a game isn't just the prologue. It's the whole thing, cover to cover.
Hamlet would've be a nice read if we missed out on that spooooky ghost scene. Or without poor Yorik! Ophelia drowning! The man going "I AM SLAIN!" is a great one too! Even less without the epic sword fight at the end! All those elements, together with the less interesting scenes, made Hamlet a complete story. Reading the first chapter and going "EH, 1/5" as final opinion would be dishonest and downright disgusting.
