Stating that they are proud to announce the 4.0.0 version of Darktable, the development team stated that this is an important release. Coming with a color and exposure mapping feature that allows color pickers to define and save a target color/exposure to match any source object in the image with a random target color, the new version can be used to ensure color consistency of an object across a series of images. It is stated that the new version of the software, which is made available under the GNU General Public License 3 and runs under GNU/Linux, OS X and Solaris, comes with the default darktable theme.
