32Dave Rapoza has been creating art for Wizards of the Coast’s Magic the Gathering for a long time. But recently Wizards of the Coast pledged that they won’t use Ai art and AI generative tools in their products. However, a few days ago they posted a clearly Ai generated image on their social channels, which led to famous illustrator Dave Rapoza cancelling their relationship and promising to never work with them again. In an interview with Steven Zapata they break down their thoughts on the drama and the development of Ai art as a whole. So, in this video I share my thoughts on Ai art as an artist myself and address some of the points they raised in the interview. Is Ai art really a threat to artists and illustrators? Let's discuss.
