Dave the Diver Episode 8
3The restaurant has been garnering some serious attention, and Cooksta critics come to see what all they hype is about. They are impressed, and the restaurant levels up to "gold" tier on the Cooksta app. We upgrade some of our diving gear, then head into the Blue Hole. We encounter an octopus who leads us to an area that we haven't yet ventured. We get an octopus bracelet, but nothing else noteworthy comes from that little side quest. We manage to kill yet another sawsnout shark, which is pretty good eat'ns. We then venture way down into the darker waters, capturing an image of a sunfish for Udo. We have a close encounter with another shark, eventually killing it without realizing it... we inevitably do figure out that it perished, then have to hustle to find some oxygen as our supply became critically low. We head to the surface, then back down for dive number two where we see a MASSIVE humpback whale! We gather some more jelly fish, then on this dive we thought we killed a shark but really hadn't! It almost killed us as a result, but we survive then finish him off. We find the last of the materials we need for Dr. Bacon to finish building the sea people translator. On our way back to the surface, we square off against another sawsnout shark and are able to come away victorious. We head to the surface, where we realize we screwed up and don't have enough money to hire the new staff member we were advertising for. A drunken patron requests a specific dish, but we don't have the materials... What it means is that we'll need to do a "night dive" at some point to get some nocturnal ingredients. The shift goes fairly well, netting some profit that will give us enough for additional staff in the next episode.
