0David Hyde Pierce will not be appearing in the Frasier revival alongside Kelsey Grammer, but Kelsey Grammer insists our beloved doctor will have a nice time even without his younger brother.
“David basically decided he wasn’t really interested in repeating the performance of Niles,” Kelsey Grammer told People. Fortunately, the delay prompted the Frasier writers to come up with a more compelling narrative for their lead character than a stale cast reunion. “In a very funny way, it just took us to a new place, which was what we originally wanted to do anyway, which was a Frasier third act,” Grammer said. “It’s an entirely new life for him.”
