Hey Everyone, AlteredCalyx here. We're going doing a First Playthrough of Dragon's Dogma 2.

Started the stream as level 40 and Warrior vocation.

Failed Shadowed Prayers quest 😫. I looked all around the prayer area, but I guess I was supposed to just look on the stairs 😭. I normally wouldn't care that I failed the quest because decisions matter and all, but it was a timed quest and I felt I didn't understand the quest/search location. Maybe NG+ playthrough inc!

Also, TIL that the pause screen circular area indicates time of day (I was looking for a way to determine morning vs afternoon). The sun image seems to go counter clockwise tho, wait... I just thought of something. What if the sun is going East to West (as in rises in the east, sets in the west) and not moving counter clockwise like a clock! That's gotta be it!

Hugo still won't talk to me. The next thing I want to try is get another set of gaol keys to unlock his cell (again) and see if he'll advance the conversation. I have a set of keys, but I need that for myself bc I've been to gaol once or twice 😅

We hired Mean Gene and found out his Arisen's name was Hulkster, hahaha. Too bad I couldn't see the two of them journeying together 😆

We helped Fulvio with his sketch, kinda. I thought he mentioned Medusa to petrify the griffon so he could take his time drawing the griffon. When we explored the Forbidden Research Lab, we found texts that talked about Medusa's head. We didn't come across Medusa but I still advanced Fulvio's quest. I was kinda hoping Medusa would be on the way, it wasn’t 😅.

We used a port crystal to go back to Harve Village to advance Flickering Shadows. We talked to "he who was dragon-forged" and found some nice treasure chests in the vicinity.

Ended the stream as level 42 and still a Warrior. But we know which vocation to go for once we max rank Warrior... Trickster!

Playthrough Details:
Funny how I didn't even know about this game a few months ago, but it kept creeping up on my radar. Someone would mention it, posts about it would appear in my feed, etc. I caved in once I saw Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen was on a mega sale on Steam. I figured I'd try out the first one to see what the hype was leading up to Dragon's Dogma 2. I had a blast for such an old game.

I'm going in with minimal outside knowledge of the game and haven't looked into any guides.

Also, I don't usually save scum decisions because I want to feel like my choices have consequences (good or bad). BUT I'm not opposed to reloading if I feel I've missed out on notable loot 😈

-- I played 2 days off stream, but I swear it was just to check something out and well... some hours passed 😅
