Day of the Tentacle is a LucasArts point-and-click adventure originally released on CD-ROM and Floppy Disk in 1993 for Mac OS and MS-DOS. It received the remaster treatment in 2016 with Day of the Tentacle Remastered, published on PS4, PS Vita, iOS, and Steam. In this game, players play as three characters: nerd Bernard Bernoulli, deranged medical student Laverne, and roadie Hoagie. Early on, the three are separated and sent to three different time periods. In order to assist the others with their tasks, the three must make extensive use of time travel by leaving items in certain places, sending items to other time periods, and changing the course of history. Like the Monkey Island series, this game also makes heavy use of a verb system. Day of the Tentacle is available for all platforms listed for $14.99.
