Assassin's Creed Shadows
Naoe Stealth and Combat, Yasuke Combat
Swapping characters to resolve getting rolled as Naoe, lol..

Running an underpowered Naoe into an Expert difficulty combat encounter is, pretty obviously, a poor strategy. Some of Yasuke's combat-ender animations are channeling that RevelationsEzio psycho energy. Honestly kind of feel bad for some enemies he hits those with. Kick is back. Very good for creating space because the enemy has to waste time traveling back to you before they can interact with you again. In that time you can cut down others.

Combat has more mixups inflicted on the player in this game than I was expecting. There are different responses I can give to enemy actions which are mutually-exclusive and 'answering' the wrong way will lead to me taking damage, which is why I get hit so much here. I'm expecting something, and they're hitting me with something else. Learning enemy archetype body language as I play the game a lot more will probably smooth that uncertainty away and I'll be hit a lot less.

Played in Immersive Mode.
Played in Canon Mode. (If I wasn't, I could lie to that merchant and avoid a fight.)

Immersive Mode: Character voice-acting reflects their own language. (Japanese characters speak Japanese, Portuguese characters speak Portuguese and so on. All speech is subtitled.)

Canon Mode: The Animus adheres strictly to what really happened in all possible instances. The vast majority of Choice Moments / Dialogue-Branches are smoothly removed as if they were never there, and the flow of cutscenes plays out as in the classic games.
