DAYS GONE LET’S PLAY E2 | Bugged the hell out
Days Gone PS4 full let’s play walkthrough. Gameplay on normal level, presented in 1080p and 60fps.
Episode 2:
Drifters On The Mountain and Bugged The Hell Out
The first part of this episode is again quite linear, which makes sense given its still quite early in the game. I went a bit of track when I decided at first to go exploring on foot rather than jump on the bike being offered. I went back for the bike eventually anyway. It was with bike riding that things went a bit wrong, as I’m still finding any bike pretty hard to control. Direction of the bike needs only the slightest touch to the left joypad stick, anything greater and you can massively overseer.
I also found since my last gameplay that I had forgotten how to use the melee weapon - hence a quick death at the first NERO encampment. When I cracked how to use them I started to get an upper hand on the freakers, just for now anyway. Another lesson learnt to apply to the other NERO campsites is regarding the PA speakers and gaining entry to the building. Basically the secret it to climb up and cut down the speakers BEFORE turning on the generator and opening the doors.

Days Gone is an action-adventure survival horror video game developed by SIE Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4. Days Gone is set in a post-apocalyptic open world, played from a third-person perspective. The player controls Deacon St. John (Sam Witwer), a former outlaw-turned-drifter and bounty hunter who prefers life on the road to wilderness encampments. The game takes place two years after a global pandemic occurred almost wiping all of humanity, and transformed millions of others into "Freakers", mindless zombie-like creatures that are quickly evolving. In the E3 2016 stage demo, two types of "Freakers" were revealed, Newts and Hordes. In the E3 2017 stage demo, infected animals such as bears and wolves were revealed to also comprise the "Freakers", and human enemies are revealed to be featured in the game as well.
Characters include: Sarah St. John, Manny, Mark Copeland, Iron Mike, Addison Walker and Rikki Patil.
As usual my video is basically the “boring bits removed” version! What do I mean by that? Mostly I like to tighten things up for entertainment value and make it more like a movie. I don’t know about you but I find sitting through long loading screens staring at the screen for 2 minutes pretty dry stuff, just because I have to while I’m playing it I don’t see why I should inflict it upon my viewers! As such I’ve cut out the loading screens so it cuts directly from scene to scene to keep move things along. In this way it does differ from the gameplay experience you would have playing the game. There are video out there which are completely unedited and show you the real time loading screens if you want to see that before you buy the game as a deciding factor. Personally it would never put me off buying the game, but the main section loading screens are slow enough to be boring enough to want to skip for me. I’d welcome your thoughts on this. Do my edits improve the viewing experience for you, or would you prefer it left intact? Not doing editing would certainly save me a lot of time so I don’t mind not doing it!
The gameplay itself is that captured using an Elgato HD60 Game Capture in 1080p resolution. If you don't see this quality and are able to display it, please do pause and manually up the resolution to 1080p - YouTube defaults to lower sometimes for some reason (if anyone knows why please comment with how I can force the optimum resolution as default).
Cheers,
Ian
