...Because, yeah. Apparently Dave's our best bud now and Dee's still alive. Well, this is the flipside for you!

...Okay, I'm not even going to fake eagerness. I just- I can't say I like Dave. I like Davetrap, I like the hilarious but threatening Dave, and I like the nonsense that had to be accepted to pal with him in DSAF 2... But making Dave a victim and setting him up as an ignorant innocent? I don't know...

The meta joke, by the way, is that the Puppet calls out not feeling bad for Dave's tragic past and then feels bad for Dave's comically 'tragic' past. It's a lampshade, it's clever... But... I don't know. I think a lot of people would take it at face value, because it is played a little straight.

But, on the plus side, by the next part we will be back in the pizzeria! At least Phone Guy's got my back- even if it's only because he can't afford to be in another failing business.
