Daytona Championship USA - 777 Speedway (Teknoparrot)
49So, I've uploaded a few videos not that long ago of me playing Daytona Championship USA, which I'd video captured to put some segments of those videos into my recently updated 25 Years of Daytona USA video. To do that, I'd just used the same arcade loader crack I'd first downloaded back this first got accidentally leaked onto the internet.
I remembered after this that the game was now also playable using the arcade loader Teknoparrot, so I was curious to see what it was like using that, especially as the original arcade loader needed multiple steps as was quite complex, whereas Teknoparrot does all the heavy lifting for you, you just configure Teknoparrot, from within it's UI, to use the game's EXE, then use Boomslang's FFB plugin to set-up the FFB and you're good to go!
Handling-wise, this actually felt a bit better. There was a weird issue with the old arcade loader where it would sometimes not register a button press on my wheel to change gear. This would happen quite a lot and would result in some infuriating wall collisions. The FFB felt a bit more refined compared to the old version too.
