Daytona USA 2: Power Edition (Arcade) | All Tracks
1It's a full playthrough of all four tracks in the amazing 1998 sequel to the original SEGA AM2 classic. This is the Power Edition to Daytona USA 2, which changes the environment of the beginner course from the dome and natural scenery that encircle the track in the regular release (Battle On The Edge), to a traditional "NASCAR Oval" look like in the original Daytona USA.
Power Edition adds one BIG feature, the "Challenge" course. It combines the Beginner, Advanced, and Expert tracks into one big-ass 9 mile point-to-point course. The race starts on the Expert course and ends at the Beginner track known as SEGA International Speedway.
One thing PE adds that BOTE didn't have is the special Hornet Classic car selectable at the start of a game. The Hornet Classic was actually usable in Battle on the Edge, but the code to unlock it was unknown until December 31, 2020. The Hornet Classic is for those who like the original #41 car from the first Daytona USA.
But for those want an easier way to play Daytona USA 2: Power Edition, it's available to play "Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name" via the "arcade" area. It's available for the PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. But because of SEGA's licensing with Daytona International Speedway has expired, it is renamed "SEGA Racing Classic 2".
