The raiders who attacked me in the end are from a mod called DayZ Expansion. Not only does it add raiders but adds a whole lot more into the DayZ world. The Raiders/NPC's will hunt you, and enter structures so be very careful if you use this modification. You may think your safe but in reality you're not.

Many folks who run their own local servers for themselves, and for their friends use this mod which does pack a punch, and fills out what is missing when playing a local server which is NPC's which shoot back. You will never really know where the NPC's will spawn so keep your eyes, and ears peeled.
