DBAC at Hey - First reaction to DBAC -Zone B

This was my first credit ever on the original DBAC cabinet at HEY Akihabara . I was overwhelmed with its awesomeness lol. Every time you use the burst beam weapon, the bass on the seat will shake your booty lol. The sound of low hum bass of the burst weapon is really fitting, it sounds like a really powerful weapon.

The huge dual wide screen, and the surround sound musical score envelopes your entire body and you are really flooded with audio and visual delight. The whole cabinet vibrates and you feel it hence they call it "body sonic".


My mission for that day (and one of the goals for the Japan trip) was to 1CC both DBAC and Darius 1 on those cabs.

The run here was the first of many failed attempts xD. I told myself I will not leave the game center until the 1ccs happen haha.

Thankfully the shmup gods granted me my wish and got the 1cc on both :)

Playing on the DBAC and Darius 1 cabinet really made it a memorable experience. I spent all my 100 Yen coins on those two machines and wasn't able to play much of the other shmups in the game center lol (which had an amazing collection shmups from Cave, Raizing, Taito and many other stone cold classics). For those unaware, DBAC and Darius cabinets (and many of the shmups / games in Hey) are now rare and hard to find. In my country, the Philippines, these are all non-existent. I literally had to fly to another country just to experience these games in their original form.

Hey Akihabara is a MUST visit for Shmup fans, and arcade gamers in general.
