He wasn't sure what was going to happen if he met his parents again. But they didn't believe him when he told them about the strange and inexcusable actions that were taking place there. Kaden was sent back there and the knife was taken away. He felt betrayed. When he was escorted back, it was surprisingly normal for the most part. It's as if the previous events were some maniacal fever dream. The psychologists were normal, non-abusive, and helpful. The kids were not being abused anymore. The carpet and walls were still torn, but other than that, everything was actually alright. That was until the next night rolled around.
Kaden walks out of his room after being waken up by some noise that was going on in the lobby; the first room you walk into from the front of the building. This sound was... electrical in a way. Kaden couldn't identify it until he saw what was in the lobby. A large sphere of scarlet-colored light was floating only what he could tell was a few inches off the ground. The object was emitting sparks of red electricity. Adults, children, anyone nearby was around the sphere surrounding it.
Kaden heard conversations from the crowd, but found that the people were not moving their mouths. Where was it coming from then? The sphere. Surprisingly, Kaden was drawn to the sphere. It wasn't voluntary though. He thought it was dangerous. But he kept slowly walking towards the phenomenon before him and everyone else. He knew he was being controlled. He wanted to scream, he wanted to run. He wanted to do anything. But it was like his emotions were shut down, and his body was moving on its own. Was it the sphere that was controlling him? But it didn't feel that way. He felt like he was becoming sick, like from some pathogen. Either way, it looked like he was doomed. Any people that were in the way slowly stepped away, making a clearing for Kaden to slowly, and surely wander into the sphere. No words were exchanged between anyone.
There were crowd conversations coming from somewhere. And the sphere was making its own noise; something electrical. He couldn't find out anymore. Kaden walked in and just like Braxton, was taken somewhere else, only to be used later.
