DC Multiverse - Armored Batman - McFarlane Action figure review
Hey guys welcome back to another McFarlane DC review
We have Batman up for review in his Armored variant, inspired by Frank Miller's Armored Batman suit, from the Dark Knight Returns Comic.
The bulky size of the figure really gives it some heft in your hand, the joints are solid and bulky, but comes at a price of Articulation. While the armored suit does have parts made of soft plastic to let the figure bend around a bit more, the figure was never going to be able to pull off more dynamic poses.
But that's the trade off for having a bulky suit of armor come to life in the form of a action figure.
Accessory wise we get a pair of alternate hands to swap out. While the default hands are a pair of fist and a Trigger hand, the alternate are a pair of clawing hands. Noticeably missing from batman's armored suit loadout is the Sonic gun he uses to fight Superman with. DC and Warner Bros had decided to remove guns from their shows and these has effected the figures as well.
Overall its a great figure and representation of the Armored Batsuit. While limited for posing opportunities, this bulky figure will stand out in any Batman collection, and has a dark and gritty design that will appeal to collectors looking for a less colorful armored batman.
