DC Multiverse - Gorilla Grodd (Injustice 2) Action Figure Review
Hey guys, up for review today is another DC Multiverse action figure from McFarlane toys!
We have Gorilla Grodd up for review, and this is one big monkey.
A more obscure and classic DC super villain, McFarlane toys brings us another lesser known character, thanks in part to the Injustice 2 game!
Gorilla Grodd is a more chunky figure then we can expect, as his giant ape body has a unique sculpt. While being covered in heavy armor, we do get some of the articulation restricted, as some features had to be skipped due to the size of the figure itself, most noticeably, the double joints.
But his massive body makes up for the lost value in posing, the joints are large and clicky, with ratchets that make sure the figure can stand on its own weight.
The resemblance to the in-game model is great too, as the entire set of armor is decorated with tiny tribal style markings, and the shaggy fur all over. Small details in the sculpt is what McFarlane does best.
As for the acessories, we only get the collectible card and stand that we get with all other figures. To be fair other then some sort of mine control type effect, Gorilla Grodd gets a pass this time, based on the sheer size of the figure itself.
Overall a great figure, extremely accurate to the Injustice 2 video game, filled with tons of details in the sculpting, and while the articulation is a bit hindered in some areas, some creative posing will get you through that.
