Spawn -Raven Spawn - McFarlane Toys Action figure Review
Hey guys were checking out a Spawn figure today, starting off with the Raven Spawn from McFarlane Toys
Part of the Hellspawn series of comics, the Raven Spawn makes his appearance, this version taking inspiration from that series.
While the Raven Spawn has made other appearances, this is more close to the Ashley Wood version.
The figure is extremely detailed in the sculpting, every bit of flesh, armor and cloth has a textured look to it, giving the figure a insane amount of detail.
The large cloak this figure has hinders the armor a bit, as the cloak rests on the shoulders, making forearm and shoulder articulation hindered by the sculpting. While its possible to move and bend the soft plastic that's used in the cape, we completely lose forearm articulation on this figure, limiting the amount of poses we can get.
For the accessories a dual scythe on a chain, and a large two handed axe give the figure a good amount of value for posing, but with the chains set in place, and the forearm locked down by the armor, we are limited on poses.
This figure itself is really imposing, with tons of details, you can assume that articulation was sacrificed for more detail in the sculpting.
Overall Raven Spawn is a great figure. Intimidating, he fits the horror genre well, makes for a great demonic enemy in any collection, and definitely stands out when pared next to other figures in the same price range.
