The goal is to achieve the best video quality with the original hardware. In this case using the OSSC.

Testsubject: Soul Calibur NTSC (pacthed with widescreen)

Optimal timings:

Settings - Reset settings
Output - 480p/576p proc: 2x Line
Video in proc - Video LPF: 35MHz (if the picture still blurry set Video LPF: auto)
Sync opt - Analog Sync LPF: Off (if the picture still blurry set Analog Sync LPF: 2.5Mhz)
Sampling Opt -Adv. timings:

V.backporch: 34
H.backporch: 109 (adjust until the image is horizontally centred)



The optimal timings are based on firebrands settings, my own research and testing.
