23Here is another how to DCC decoder installation fitting guide for those new to the wonders of DCC. Here I am going to show you how to fit a DCC decoder into a Piko model train with how NOT to fit the decoder because we don't want to mess anything up or crush the decoder in the process. This model train has a recess in the roof for a decoder where I installed mine. There is a pocket for a smaller decoder but the one I am using is too long for the pocket so I mounted it into the roof bodyshell instead and the model train I am using for this guide is the Piko BR285 in the Captrain livery. A review for the train itself will be up in December 2020.
