Today is the first day of DCS 1.5's release, which is a major overhaul of the DCS client. What I was not expecting was to find the unreleased Spitfire Mk. IX available as an AI-flown plane.

I had to test it against my trusty P-51. It's a tough cookie! The 3D model is lovely, and I can't wait until the Spit comes out as its own module.

Audio isn't great on this, but you'll get to see some of the first footage of the Spitfire flying in DCS, along with the lovely new graphics engine. You'll see that the Spit's modeling is *very* preliminary...the engine isn't really spinning right, there is no pilot, and no cockpit texture. Still, lovely aircraft!
