The first campaign for the DCS Normandy map is here! It's Operation Epsom created by Bunyap and Matt Wagner. This campaign features a series of missions taking place in late June of 1944, pretty soon after the Normandy landings. As part of the Royal Canadian Air Force Wing No. 144 flying the Spitfire LF Mk. IX, you will fly a series of historically based missions performing tasks like CAS and armed reconnaissance over the Normandy landscape.
I will be uploading a complete play through of all the missions here. I'm keeping the descriptions and briefings separate in case some people just want to start the mission from the beginning.
Currently, the Spitfire in DCS: World is unable to carry any ordnance. This makes it useless against tanks because they are quite resistant to 20mm rounds. It would make sense for the Spitfire to be able to carry bombs if it is to be used in any sort of ground attack role.
